TREASURER REPORT – Rod J.
- Financial Report for March 2025 indicated current status as adequate.
- Brian will prepare full report for April once bank statements are received later this week
- Rod presented list of Active Members donations from Brian and will follow up to confirm additional donations
- Brian reported that there are some outstanding sweatshirt payments and will follow-up with the individuals.
OLD BUSINESS
- Discussed upcoming April 12 training for Emergency Preparedness to be held at BRCC. Please note the time has been changed to 3:00 PM due to event conflicts at the church. Snacks will be provided for attendees. Attendees are encouraged to register using the website link https://brcstaz.org/emergency-preparedness-seminar/ so we can get an idea of how many to plan for.
- Discussed May 16 “Active Shooter / Stop the Bleed” seminar plans. Rod to add to website with registration form so we can get a count for CCSO to prepare. Seminar is planned to run from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at BRCC.
- Provided update from the June Open House committee. Plan to have the open house on June 7 from 12- 3:00 PM. Each team will have information tables and we are looking at other agency involvement to show partners such as BRFD and CCSAR. Next committee meeting is April 22 at 6:00 PM.
- Nicole has finished preparing the safety vests so they are available now for callouts.
- Discussed current status of acquiring the shed for BRCST and moving to the BRFD location. BRCC is in negotiations to sell their reach lift and it may not be available for assisting with the move. Cal mentioned there may be alternatives, and is willing to take lead to see if we can move it soon.
NEW BUSINESS
- Daron has received the new business cards, and they were distributed to attendees at the meeting.
- Dick sent a note regarding training opportunities with BRFD. There are no current training sessions planned, but the chief is interested in coordinating with BRCST to help with maintenance tasks at the fire department, such as rolling hoses, cleaning equipment and returning items to vehicles. Anyone interested in helping, please contact Dick.
- Pam has agreed to provide a list of Facebook groups used to post our events and are used to monitor potential BRCST request activity. Members are encouraged to join the groups so we can post comments on our events to keep them active and on the top of people’s feeds in the groups.
