SECRETARY REPORT

Minutes from 2/13 general meeting read by Emily J. & approved by all

TREASURER REPORT – Brian A.

• Financial Report distributed to attendees.
• Copy of financial Reporting will be stored on shared drive
• Ken T. suggested use of free online financial reporting tools, and will work with Brian A. to review

CAPTAINS REPORT – Jim C.

• Online training is provided by Coconino County CERT on the 4^th Tuesday of every month. March 26^th is the next scheduled session at 5:30pm at BRCC where we will zoom together
• Sign up for CERT training. They are coming up to BRFD on May 31^st, June 1^st & June 2^nd, (note the 2^nd is a Sunday).
• The next AZ HARTT training April 13^th via zoom $60 per person-this is dog rescue training, which is required to participate in animal search team call-outs. Attendees will need to register online at https://azhartt.org 
• The fire department plans to have training the 2^nd Saturday every month
• Kathy T. is putting the CERT training in the Starlight Community Newsletter to get the word out, it is free & open to the community. They give out to each participant a great bugout bag!

PRESIDENTS REPORT – Casey S.

• BRCST is providing lunch at the Gila County Community Active Violence training on March 13^th at Pine Baptist church.
• Thanks go out to those who have paid their membership dues to BRCST.
• Mary Alice S. & Janey M. are collaborating on several fundraiser events for this summer i.e.-cowboy golf, cornhole, pickleball tournament more to come later!

NEW BUSINESS

• Casey S.-The board changed our meeting day to the 3^rd Tuesday to not interfere w/the Coconino monthly CERT training on the 4^th Tuesday.
• The board approved the purchase of a chip scanner for use in Animal Search activities.
• The BRFD is having their annual free pancake breakfast May 4^th!  

Next board mtg. March 19^th at Casey’s home.

The next general meeting is on 4/9/2024.
