MEETING MINUTES
The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and prayer led by Pastor Danny
Board members in attendance are Casey S., Rod J., Brian A., and Nicole E.
Prior meeting minutes read by Nicole E., 2 corrections made- time of med training and Pastor Bruce
PRESIDENT REPORT
Casey S. reported the 4th of July table gave us a lot of successful exposure and 4 new members, thanks to Nicole E., JR and the Morden family for assisting
Our new member Scott G. offered to get us set up with an LLC and assist with taxes for BRCST
A dog search was denied, group agreed the team is not prepared and the decision was justified
The wood was purchased for the wellness shed, thanks to Cal H., Pam H. and JR M. for all their help
TREASURER REPORT
The current account balance is $2,162.00
Brian A. reported on the paid-out expenses, unpaid bills, recent deposits and ongoing costs
OLD BUSINESS
The 1st aid/ CPR training will be held at the BRFD on 7/22 at 9am; sign up with Jim C.; there is no charge for the training; we will be providing lunch; please wear your BRCST t-shirt
Mike B. has medical bags available for $145
Free CERT training is available September 27,28, and 29th in Flagstaff; sign up with Jim C.
NEW BUSINESS
The wellness shed is scheduled to be reorganized on July 26th at 6am; 3 volunteers, tarps and a pop-up canopy are needed
A mock neighborhood search will be held on July 29th at 9:30 am, meeting at the south end of the BRFD
Dick K. will inform the FD of our mock search and will provide specific procedures and guidelines for us to follow on the search
A mock forest search will be set up in 2 weeks
2 medical bags will be purchased from Mike B. for $290 to be kept at the BRFD, approved unanimously by the Board members
The recent cell tower interruption was discussed; wi-fi calling, AT&T service, generators, oxygen tank availability, community center wi-fi and welfare checks were conversed
Kathy T. presented 4 options for business cards, a final card was presented and approved
2,000 business cards will be printed; considering Print by George in Payson
Cal H. demonstrated how to use Avenza maps and offered his assistance for further help to all members
Jess E. gave a presentation on GMRS radio costs and cellular options for communication on searches
Pam H. requested to precede forward on animal rescue training; the board and community approved
The next Board meeting is July 25th 6:00pm at The Samsill residence
The next general meeting is August 8th 6:00pm at The Blue Ridge Community Church
